Stress is a normal feeling of being unprepared to handle certain situations and demands. However, stress can develop into an ongoing issue when a person doesn't do something to reduce it. The demands may stem from the workplace, relationships financial pressures, or other circumstances, but any situation that presents the appearance of a challenge or threat to someone's wellbeing can lead to stress. Stress can be a motivational factor and can be vital to survival. The body's defense mechanism, known as fight or flight, tells the person how and when to react to threats. However, if the body is triggered in a way that is too easy, or when the stressors are too numerous at once this can affect the physical and mental well-being and lead to harm. The body is triggered to be flooded with hormones that help the body prepare to fight or ward off the threat. The term i
